Dr. Coreen Murphy

Dr. Coreen Murphy is a highly skilled optometrist who joined my practice in 2009 and has since provided excellent care to our patients in her uniquely warm, friendly and caring manner.

Her optometry training was completed in 1994 at the prestigious SUNY School of Optometry in Manhattan. Since graduating she has practiced optometry in Essex County, NJ for over 14 years. She is an expert in all aspects of primary eye care and holds the highest optometric degree available.

Fitting of contact lenses with soft and gas permeable lenses is just one of her specialties. Since joining our practice, many of our patients have benefited from her expertise in this area through the use of the latest multifocal/bifocal lenses and advances in monovision treatment decreasing their dependency on reading glasses.

In addition, Dr. Murphy is also one of few specialists in the area successfully fitting patients with special contact lenses for a corneal condition called keratoconus. This provides patients with better vision without the risks associated with surgical intervention for this condition.

On a personal note, Dr. Murphy, a lifelong resident of Bergen County who enjoys her time off with her family. She has a passion for cooking and my staff and I delight in sampling her creations on a regular basis.
